The Snake Pit
- Location: Centenary Community Hub - Mount Ommaney
- Organiser: BEY TEAM OUROBOROS
- Entry fee: Free
Come along to our fortnightly Beyblade X tournament at Centenary Community Hub!
With the new year we will start using the WBO rulebook for our tournaments. While this is largely the same as before, there are some changes that are important to note:
- We will no longer be using the "instant" rule, which restarted any battle that ended instantly. Instead, once both beys have made contact with the stadium the battle has started. Mid-air collisions will still restart a battle, and launching directly into the pocket will be considered a launch error. This will remove a significant point of subjectivity and make things simpler for our judges.
- A penalty point will be awarded to your opponent if you commit two launch errors in the same battle, see the rulebook for what constitutes a launch error. This will help matches move faster and help prevent irresponsible play.
- The enforcement of a launch range, defining where you can launch your bey, see the rulebook for the definition of the launch range.
In addition to the new rulebook, some other changes are being introduced:
- There will no longer be Best of 3 matches for the grand final, instead there will be a normal grand final reset for our double elimination finals. This will make it more fair for the player who made it through the winner's bracket undefeated.
- Locked decks will be used for the finals. This will remove the opportunity for players to scout and counter their opponents.
- The group stage of the tournament will take place in 2 halves, players in the 2nd half of the tournament will have to wait for the 1st half to conclude before their matches begin. It is expected each half will take roughly an hour to complete.
Tournament starts at 1:30PM, late arrivals will not be able to compete.
Lucky Door Prizes

Juniors Tournament
There will be a Juniors tournament for kids 12 and under run at the same time as the main tournament. This is optional and kids may still join the main tournament if they wish. However you may only join one of the tournaments. If not enough kids show up (at least 3 teams), they will be entered into the main tournament.
