Beyblade Tournaments Australia

This event will be at a new location! We'll be just down the road at Centenary Community Hub, next to Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre.

This tournament will be using the CounterVeto gimmick, a combination of the WBO Deck match type and Veto, a new gimmick by OzzieOCE.

In Veto you use a deck of 5 beys with no repeating parts, and you get to veto 2 of your opponent's beys, removing them from their deck. Build decks that are resilient in any configuration, and choose carefully in order to remove beys that counter your deck.

In the WBO Deck match type you are given the opportunity to counter your opponent. After each battle the loser decides whether to replay or switch. A replay forces each blader to use the same Bey in the next battle. And a switch allows each blader to switch to any Bey in their deck, with the winner choosing and presenting before the loser chooses their next Bey. When replay is chosen, the stadium is not flipped.

Tournament starts at 1:30PM, late arrivals will not be able to compete.

• Tournament Type: Group round robin. Double elimination finals bracket.

Juniors Tournament

There will be a Juniors tournament for kids 12 and under run at the same time as the main tournament. This is optional and kids may still join the main tournament if they wish. However you may only join one of the tournaments.

The Juniors tournament will use the regular ruleset.

Part Bans

The blade Aero Pegasus is banned at this event because it is too inaccessible.

The blades Wizard Rod/Wand Wizard and Silver Wolf are banned for Juniors tournaments.

The bit Metal Needle is banned at all our events because it can damage stadiums.

Other Info

The tournament is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

There will be an area for casual play, for while you're waiting your turn in the tournament, or if you're not interested in competitive play.

I will be lending out some beyblades for those without, or those with a very limited selection. But you are encouraged to buy your own - buyer's guide here.

If your young children are attending, I cannot be responsible for their safety, please ensure that they are accompanied by a guardian if they cannot take care of themselves.
